The prestigious University of North Dakota (my brother's alma mater) has finally succumbed to societal liberalism which seeks to eviscerate all traditions and history of this country. It was only a matter of time.
They have succombed to the minorty and have decided to re-name the 'Fighting Sioux' for something else.

So a *pontificating* bigot like yourself thinks you are qualified to judge something you know nothing about, but feel compelled to comment on. YOU don't think it's offensive, but then you probably aren't used to being called "prarie nigger", or ANY slur, are you? A) a people who have historically been persecuted, forced from their homelands, and subject to racial slurs;
B) a Nazi admirer "philanthropist" who built a shrine to himself, childishly threatening to destroy the "gift" if he didn't get his way in perpetuity, and the cowtowing whores who couldn't bear the thought of losing all of that beautiful, lovely mafia-gotten money.
I am not sure how Jesus came into this discussion on a name convention but I will detail my opinion, lest I be singled out to be a bigot or moron.
ReplyDelete1) Forced out - how would you have dealt with the issue of natives in a land that your friends and relatives died to defend against foreign, opressive rule that ultimately gave you life? Would you not want to be alive? What are you saying?
2) Jesus came to save the lost and restore people to God and paid the price doing it. He cares about everyone not any specific group or people. Certainly, Jesus has always spoken against the proud, the wicked, and the arrogant. Was the US wicked in seeking to obtain the FRENCH (previous Spanish)ownership west of the Mississippi? Are you arguing that they would have done things differently? A peaceful co-habitation perhaps? I'm not buying it.
