Here were the highlights:
- Being able to get to some reading and exercise for once (Tom Clancy's 'The Teeth of the Tiger, Watchman Nee 'The Normal Christian Life', and J.I. Packer's 'Evangelism and the Sovereignty of God' for those who are interested)
- Visiting my brother's church, Rock Harbor, and witnessing a number of people being baptised after receiving Christ as their savior!
- Spending time with my nephews and niece. They are growing like weeds but sharp as tacks
- Visiting with my brother and spending shoulder time together watching the Vikes crush the Cowboys (and yes, the last touchdown WAS called for)
- Steak and lobster
- Cigars downtown in San Diego (brand new cigar called 'Acid' - never tried it before but very tasty, easy draw, light in taste but lasted forever)
- Oops, I forgot an important one - on Saturday morning, we were able to serve breakfast (a function of my brother's LifeGroup at Rock Harbor) in a local homeless shelter. It was VERY COOl. For those who are thinking about all the problems in Haiti, etc., we don't need to look very far to find those that really need a helping hand...
Grace & Peace
